From the very first edition, Viva Musica! offers the best from the classical, jazz and world music, in an attractive way for the big public -- under an open sky in the historical center of the capital city, and without the necessity of paying an entrance fee. Viva Musica! is nine evenings filled with music performed by internationally acclaimed artists. It is also nine evenings of a relaxed atmosphere without ties and dinner jackets - no stuffy, boredom of the kind that scares many. Today, Viva Musica! is the only festival of its kind in Slovakia, presenting hundreds of international and local artists in concerts free of charge. Viva Musica! works closely with the municipality of Bratislava and BKIS, which gives the director of the festival Matej Drlička the freedom of broadening the program offer and the comfort of the spectators with every year.
Baba Alauddin Khan's dream project Maihar Band - the renowned Hindustani classical music orchestra which consists of only Indian classical instruments presents raga Bageshree Marwa at Rabindra Sadan, Kolkata in 2010. It's not the recording of the whole presentation, but a small selected part of it.
